Trusting God is a choice and a process, and she’ll share a few important ways we can lean into God’s promises for our lives.
Tuesday, January 15 – Lisa Anderson – Boundless – In the eyes of the world, sex is a god. But the Lord sees sex as a gift. On the next Live the Promise Susie welcomes back Lisa Anderson, program director for Boundless at Focus on the Family. We’ll talk more about how to equip young people to walk in purity and grow in faith.
Wednesday, January 16 – Carol Lund and Laurel Bunker (In Studio) –The Behind-the-Scenes Battle – When God calls us to do something, there’s tremendous opposition from the enemy. Today on Live the Promise Susie welcomes Carol Lund of Bridging the Gap and Laurel Bunker of Bethel University to the studio. Carol and Laurel have seen and experienced the fight in the midst of the calling, and they give encouragement for us to stay faithful and finish strong.
Thursday, January 17 – Jim Cymbala (Recorded) – Spirit Rising – The Holy Spirit is God’s agent on earth, but He is the least understood, least preached about, and least discussed member of the Trinity. On the next Live the Promise Susie talks with pastor Jim Cymbala. Jim’s written a book called Spirit Rising, and he invites us to experience God in a fresh and vital way. If we want power, confidence, joy, peace, and more love in our lives, then we need a better understanding of Who the Holy Spirit is.
Friday, January 18 – Carol Barnier (Recorded) – Engaging Today’s Prodigal – Many families today experience the profound guilt and pain of seeing a child walk away from their faith and values. We’ll talk about how the church can reach out to prodigals and provide a bridge back home when they are ready. Carol’s book is Engaging Today’s Prodigal.
