Tuesday, August 21 – Kent Carlson and Mike Lueken – Renovation of the Church – What happens when a seeker church discovers spiritual formation? Today Susie talks with Co-pastors Mike Lueken and Kent Carlson. They set out to change the way they “did church” and will share the joys and challenges, mistakes and makeovers. Wednesday, August 22 – Sheila Walsh – Song of the Brokenhearted – Today Susie welcomes author, singer, and Women of Faith speaker Sheila Walsh to the show to talk about her new novel, Song of the Broken-Hearted. We’ll explore its themes of suffering, worship, family brokenness, and ultimate redemption.
Thursday, August 23 – Kate McCord – In the Land of Blue Burqas –Kate McCord (not her real name) was so moved by the plight of Muslim women that she picked up and moved to Afghanistan to live and minister among them. Today she joins Susie for an engaging and eye-opening discussion about the hunger Muslims have for the true gospel and how we can pray for them. Kate’s book is In the Land of Blue Burqas.
