Monday, October 28 – Tessa Afshar (Recorded) – Novel Talk –When God calls us to do something, how do we press on in the midst of opposition? Today Susie welcomes back novelist Tessa Afshar. She’s written a new novel, set in the time of Nehemiah, and we’re going to look at how he and his followers rebuilt Jerusalem while facing down the scorn of others.
Tuesday, October 29 – Bill Arnold and George Fraser (Recorded) – End of Life Issues – How can we prepare to say good-bye to a loved one? How can we reconcile with the people we love before they go to be with the Lord? Today Susie is joined in-studio by Bill Arnold and George Fraser of Faith Radio’s Real Recovery. We’ll talk about faith, loss, end-of-life issues, and the importance of reconciliation with those we love.
Wednesday, October 30 – Joe Cavanaugh III (Recorded) – Passing the Blessing – What does it mean to pass on a blessing to your children, and the others in your life? On the next Live the Promise Susie talks again with author Joseph Cavanaugh III about his book, The Language of Blessing. They explore the history of the blessing and talk about the impact it can have on those around us.
Thursday, October 31 – Dan Allender – The Healing Path – We all have wounds in our past. What does God call us to do with our pain? Listen as Susie talks with counselor and author Dan Allender. We’re going to look at how to use the difficult things in our past to grow in our faith and walk more closely with God. Dan’s book is The Healing Path.
