God Brings The Increase (At Just The Right Time)...

Happy Wednesday, Everyone! Susie Larson here!
And to those visiting, I say welcome! I post every Wednesday and my sole purpose is to nourish your soul along the way. Each month I give away a $10.00 Starbucks gift card to someone who posts on my blog. So share a thought or an insight, bless lots of people, and just maybe you'll win a jolt of java for a friend!
Now on to my topic...(this one is a little longer than usual, but I think it's an important word for some):
Lately I've been in awe of God's divine intervention and attention to detail. In years past, I've had a number of specific desires in my heart that I longed to see come to pass; things that only God and my husband knew about, and, well maybe a few close friends. But as with anything worth having, readiness and preparedness take time. God can do anything in an instant, but we are the ones - with our free will and all - that need time to be readied, strengthened and prepared.
We need time for our faith to grow. When we plant seeds, we can't repeatedly dig them up and pull them out of the ground to see if they are growing. We have to leave them in the ground. Those planted seeds (that we can no longer see) need to be watered by our faith. During the process we must learn to be content with seeing nothing while knowing that God holds everything in His hands, and that He moves on every act prompted by our faith, as the Scripture says.
The truth is, things just take time. Even 'suddenly-moments' take a while to spring forth. One thing I learned about waiting on God is this: He is always good. He always has our highest and best interests at heart. And when we trust Him enough to give Him room to work, He does His best work on our behalf. Truly, His loving attention to detail will woo any heart that loves Him!
Right now, today, I am walking in some of the most detail-specific answers to prayers of faith, prayed back then - years ago - when such things seemed non-existent and impossible. As I am sure is the case with you, the journey to this particular place of promise had its battles of refinement and pain. For a while, God stationed me to the sidelines as I watched others run full boar into their divine calling. And I felt jealous; which was why I was on the sidelines. God intended on extracting from my soul the very things the enemy intended on using against me. God, in His infinite love, knew why I needed time. He is an ever-protective Father, no?
The amazing thing is, at their core, these desires of my heart were not selfish prayers, they were Kingdom motivated. And yet, our flesh is all too quick to lay hold of that which only belongs to God. He shares His glory with no one, and that's the way it is. The very fact that we get to be used by Him is mind-boggling, wouldn't you say? It's a glorious thing to lay hold of God's promises and to participate in the Divine Nature of Christ. Nothing on earth compares.
Our hope is not in people; not in our bosses, or even in the next elected politician. Our hope is in the Living God who daily establishes His purposes for us! The Bible says that it's in His hands to make great, in fact, He stoops down to do so (see Psalm 18:35). He sets some on high for a season, while He sets another aside for a season; but, He makes all things beautiful in His time.
A.W. Tozer penned these wonderful words:
"What God in His sovereignty may yet do on a world-scale I do not claim to know. But what He will do for the plain man or woman who seeks His face I believe I do know and can tell others. Let any man turn to God in earnest, let him begin to exercise himself unto godliness, let him seek to develop his powers of spiritual receptivity by trust and obedience and humility, and the results will exceed anything he may have hoped for in his leaner and weaker days."
Trust Him with your dreams and your heart's desires. Refuse to manipulate your circumstances or to posture yourself with certain people. Your hope is in God. He is the one who will lift you up and establish you at the most divine time and in the most divine way.
Blessings to you this day!
~Until Next Week~

Wow! I did need this today. And yesterday. And last week and year. And most likely tomorrow. Waiting on God can seem like the most difficult thing in the world, especially when we believe we have a calling or promise to stand on. The part about not digging up a seed to see if it is growing was very helpful to me to understand the significance of waiting. Thank you.
God's omniscience is so evident as I read this!!! Susie, how did you know...?? Have you been reading my journal?! haha
Thank you for opening your life to us. Thank you for being faithful to the call He's placed on your life!!
Hugs, Blessings & Chocolate!
Susie, the words from your last two blog posts take my breath away. Truly God speaks through you to my heart more regularly than through any other author. I was asking God to clarify and remind me of my call today. He reminded me he wants my obedient heart and he will provide each step in his perfect time. I'm learning every day to love my precious Savior more than the call or ministry or gifts he gives. Thank you.
Thank you Susie for sharing this insight from your own walk with the Lord. It has encouraged me today in a great number of ways. Praying for you and Kevin. May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you.
Thank you for this beautiful post. God's timing is perfect. Thank you for reminding me!!
Your message today touched a very strong nerve. I am really having trouble leaving my seed in the ground, and not digging it up or moreso running back to God and picking up what I have laid at his feet. I know I'm not able to do what needs to be done, but don't know how to drop problems with children at Gods feet and do nothing........ Hope that makes sense, and what you said does help - Thanks so much
I have had many dreams that I have laid aside to care for my family, have suffered from PTSD and severe depression, in December 2011 I decided this was the year of no excuses, so have decided with much prompting from God that I need to take care of me as well as my family....so with the push from God I am moving forward with my health and returning to school, I have not figured out how I am going to work, go to school and take care of my kids but I have to believe that God will give my the strength I need!
Thanks for this reminder of God's sovereignty over our lives. I have been frustrated with my job and actively looking for another for more than six months. I am unhappy because I see a lack of integrity in the top leadership, yet I can't see a way to get out of here. Lately, I have been reminded that God is still in control and He is able to help me leave when He wants--therefore, if I am still here, then it is God's will and I have something He needs me to do here. I am trying to remember to trust Him with my work--something I need to relearn every day!
Dear Jen,
I loved your comment (and it made me chuckle). Don't we all need those daily, weekly, and yearly reminders! Bless your heart! May the Lord Himself bring the breakthrough at just the right time! Peace in Christ to you, my sister!
Dear Ann,
Your post made me smile too (like Jen's). Bless you for your note. So often I'm preaching to myself and if it blesses someone else, that makes me glad. :) I pray God's richest blessings on you and yours this day. Thanks for stopping by!
Dear Beck,
It's such an honor to walk this journey with you. You have such an obvious, earnest heart for God. May He make your wildest dreams come true; may He establish you in ways you never imagined; and may He overturn every single lie the enemy has tried to embed in your soul. You are His treasure. That's for sure. Bless you, dear one!
Anne,
So, so nice hearing from you! How are you, my friend! You are such a brave, faithful soul. May God continue to give you grace and peace for the journey. May He bring breakthroughs while you wait on Him and watch Him work! Bless you, my dear sister!
Hi Susie,
Nice to meet you! I'm glad this post spoke to you. May God bless you in every way and establish you in Hist best and divine purposes for you! Peace to you~
Dear Diane,
You make perfect sense. We've all been there at one time or another. Don't beat yourself up; just bring yourself back to Him as many times as you need to. He'll love you for it. :) In due time it'll become more instinctive to trust Him. He's got you. He loves you deeply. And He won't let you go. Bless you.
Dear Leslie
Your post absolutely inspired me and pumped me up! You go, girl! May the Lord light the path beneath your feet so you know where to go and how to get there. May He bring close friends to hold you up when your legs get weary. And may you not relent in your faith. May the Word of God burn brightly in your soul so that you'll have all the grit and grace you need to lay hold of His promise for you. Bless you, dear sister.
Dear Tracy,
So sorry you're walking through such a difficult time right now. It's so hard to be in a place that you don't want to be, while trusting God's timing with the desires of your heart. But this is where your faith counts. I do pray God's richest blessing on you as you walk by faith. May He comfort you and give you courage exactly when you need it. I promise you, the breakthrough will come. Bless you.
