There's Always a Way

My speaking season runs from September through May. This past season challenged me like never before. On one hand, I saw God move in ways that inspired me to greater faith, and on the other hand, my health was so fragile that I was constantly reminded of my humanity. Every step was a faith step, every struggle was a battle for perspective, and every victory was a reminder that with God, all things are possible.

My speaking season ended and summer was in full swing. We prepped for my middle son's graduation open house, we had water damage from a backed up toilet, and I needed surgery to repair a hernia. Amidst all of this craziness, I needed to be writing a book!

I was tired and somewhat overwhelmed at the thought of staring at a blank computer screen and trying to fill it with words that would bless others.

I stepped away from my computer and grabbed my Bible and my journal. I went out on my deck, sat down on my little swing and looked up at the trees blowing in the breeze. I'm always overwhelmed by trees and beautiful skies. They remind that God is creative and beautiful.

I alternated my time between reading God's Word and listeniing to His voice. He reminded me of a few things. I believe these words will encourage you as well.

Here they are:

*There is no limit when the Kingdom of God is in my midst.

*God has prepared and conditioned me for such a time as this.

*Nothing is impossible with God.

*I am perfectly positioned - at the sea of impossibility - for God to reveal His glory and do a mighty work.

*God brought me to it and He'll bring me through it.

*God is for me not against me.

*God is big in me and through me.

*God is able to perform His great wonders in my midst.

*God will make a way where there seems not to be one.

*God will establish His purposes for me.

*The Lord God will bring it to pass.

*All of God's promises are "Yes!" and Amen!

*My God will supply ALL of my needs according to what is in HIS account, not mine.

*I am well able to possess every heavenly gift so that I may live a powerful life on earth.

*I can do everything He gives me to do today.

Are you facing a sea of impossibility today? Good!

You're perfectly positioned to see the mighty strength of God at work!

Walk by faith, not by sight, and have a blessed, miracle-filled day!

Hey Susie,

Thanks so much for reminding me...sometimes you have to step out of the storm, go outside and soak in the sun. (Son!)It all comes flooding backwhat is important and whois in charge! It's so simple, but so easy to get caught up andforget. Thanks for the reminder!

You are right, Daryl.Even in the storms the Son is shining on us! The older I get the more I realize that a life of faith is connected to a heart at rest. When we know and believe that God is so very good and that He holds our deepest concerns in His care, we are more able to walk in faith and rest in His love. You are my treasured friend. :)

Susie:Yes! There is always a way in God and when He makes that way it will be clear that His hand is the one that is upon our lives!Last week my husband and I heard the words from his doctor; "with some degree of certainty I can say you do not have cancer." It is a long story - but we waited for over nine months to hear these words. This is among the many times in the past four years that a serious diagnosis has been a possible reason for my husband's pain and suffering. When this began we had a choice of where we were going to put our faith. As you well know, there is no one, two, three-step method or formula to trusting God. We just HAVE to trust Him.Like you, I find myself so dependant upon Him and His abundant strength. I used to run to Him. Now I have added a few other options for myself...but whether running, limping or crawling to Him...He's faithfully there waiting!Thank you for giving sacrificially to lend comfort to others from the comfort that you have received from God.God bless you with newfound strength. You are a blessingKaren
